This year we had over 200 entries to our annual poetry contest. The awards ceremony, held on May 31, 2003, with poet Mimi White, attracted over 100 people. Click here to see a list of entrants and winners, as well as our sponsors. We would particularly like to thank the NH State Council on the Arts for providing a significant grant for the Awards Ceremony, as well as Beaver Valley Farms and the Pelham Elementary PTA for significant funding of the anthology. The anthology has been published.
Poetry Reading by Jean Trounstine
In May of 2003, poet Jean Trounstine read from her very compelling book, Almost Home Free. Her poems about her journey through breast cancer treatment were thought provoking and enlightening. You can check out her book at the library.
Library Museum Passes
FLIP funds two of the library museum passes - Children's Metamorphosis Museum in Derry, and the Children's Museum in Boston. You can visit these facilities at a reduced rate if you reserve the museum passes at the library.
