Principal's Welcome
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Pelham High School web site. As staff members, we have made a commitment to quality, and we uniformly share the mission of PHS, to educate students so that they may pursue life goals, participate fully as active citizens, and become socially responsible community members. Additionally, we believe that to have aspirations is the ability to dream and set goals for the future, while being inspired in the present to reach these dreams. Life, spirit, and collegiality endure within the steel framework of our building. Within the pages of this site endures the tangible materials of our organization. Please avail yourself of the information and links provided. It is my hope that we will continue to do all that is possible to sustain and enhance the vibrant educational life- for every student and parent, and for ourselves. Remember, to have aspirations is the ability to dream and set goals for the future, while being inspired in the present to reach these dreams.

Pelham High School Mission and Expectations for Student Learning
The mission of Pelham High School is to educate
students so that they may
pursue life goals, participate fully as active citizens,
and become socially responsible community members.
Each student will:
1. Behave appropriately and responsibly with regard to others, to
oneself, and to one's surroundings. (Social Expectation)
2. Articulate and begin to implement an individual plan to contribute to
society now and in the future. (Civic Expectation)
3. Use effective reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing
skills.
(Academic Expectation)
4. Demonstrate how cause and effect, time, culture and geography affect
world events and daily life. (Academic Expectation)
5. Solve authentic problems using technology, mathematical, and
scientific skills.

6. Explore the role of creativity and the arts for communication and for
