Pelham High School Academic Decathlon Team

 

The Pelham High School Academic Decathlon team competed in the state tournament at Southern New Hampshire University on Saturday March 10th.

 

Finishing fourth the team ran up a score of 27,496 points.

 

Team members won a total of ten medals in the competition.

 

Leading the team medal count was Senior JJ Stadtmiller with five medals: a bronze medal in Music, a silver medal in Interview, a silver medal in Mathematics, a silver medal for the third highest overall score in the Honors group, and, with a score of 990 points of a possible 1000 a gold medal in Speech.

Senior Starsha Kolodziej won two medals one in the social Science subject area of Chinese History and one in Essay writing, both bronzes.

Mikayla Souza won a bronze medal for the third highest overall score amongst the Scholastic group of competitors.

In his first Academic Decathlon tournament Senior Stuart Robertson won a bronze medal for his knowledge of Chinese Art.

Rounding out the medal count for Pelham High School was Junior Olivia Maal who improved on her last year's silver medal in Interview to win the gold medal.

While not winning any medals Juniors Amanda Bronson and Joe Cabral and Senior Ken Andrews contributed to the team's overall score.
