FASTWEB   Create a profile that connects you with scholarship opportunities.  The site also offers sound advice concerning scholarship scams.  COMMENT: Unfortunately, the site has become heavily used which means that the success rate for receiving scholarships has dropped considerably recently.

Fin Aid  This link offers comprehensive information for scholarships and financial aid.

FinAidFacts  Top Choice!  An excellent site with extensive resources for students and parents.

Financial Tips  Need help writing the scholarship essays?  This site holds a wealth of information and tips to help you reach your dream of a college education. 

Mortgage and Financial Calculators  If you move your cursor down and left of the page, you will note that they have calculators for students' use.  Figures provided help families create a savings plan for college expenses.

National Council for Support of Disability Issues  This site lists various scholarship opportunities and links for students with disabilities.

New Hampshire Charitable Foundation  This local foundation offers various scholarships to area students.

New Hampshire Granite State Scholars Program  This site provides an incentive for NH public institutions to establish endowments for the purpose of providing need-based scholarships to eligible students.

New England Board of Higher Education   Consumer guide to general information about New England colleges and tuition reductions for New England residents who study certain majors - not available a public colleges in their home state - at public colleges and universities in other New England states (see Tuition Assistance).

Search for Scholarships!  While this site may lack excitement, it does provide an informative overview of the financial aid and scholarship process.

Scholarships.com!  An expansive scholarship database that posts scholarship information for colleges, universities, and trade schools.

Society of Women Engineers  This website provides aspiring women engineers with information on this highly desirable career.

Scholarship Search  This site lists some of the major scholarships available to high school seniors.

Check out The Scholarship Superhighway  provided by NHHEAF and the NH Charitable Foundation.  This directory is designed to assist students/families as they search for NH scholarship opportunities.

Scholarship Search, featured at www.citizensbank.com/edu/scholarshipsearch, is an easy to use tool that helps students locate scholarships, and grants that match their educational level, talents and background. 

Beware of Scholarship Scams

It's the season! As a senior, you are about to receive an incredible amount of mail, some of which will be junk mail and some of it will be valuable. One thing for sure, the scholarship scams will hit your mailbox at one time or another. Beware of financial planners and web sites that offer to complete forms for you or find scholarships for a fee.
