The Flume

The Flume: NH Teen Readers' Choice is the newest statewide book award geared for students in grades 9-12. Below you will find the first list of 13 nominess for the 2006 award. Next April, we will ask teens to vote for their favorite title and choose the first Flume award winner. All titles were nominated by teens themselves, and a committee of 15 school and public librarians chose the final list with the aim of including different genres and different reading levels.

In the fall, the committee will meet again to develop promotional ideas and to hammer out a schedule for next year's nominating process.  -Ann Hoey, Youth Services Coordinator, New Hampshire State Library
