Frequently Asked Questions

Where exactly will the school be built?

The land identified is a 48 acre parcel off of Windham Road. This land has been tested and is safe and convenient. There are aerial views and architectural drawings posted on www.pelhamsd.org  with the exact location of the proposed site.  Additional land information can be found at www.pelhamhighschoolland.com

Is the  proposed site under power lines?

NO. The nearest high tension line is 100 feet from the northern boundary of the school property.  Test results can be reviewed at: http://www.pelhamsd.org/newphs/land/6a WP EMF Test Results.pdf

Is the proposed site in a flood zone?

NO. The land is flat and sits above the 100 year flood zone.  It is an ideal location for the proposed high school. During the Mother's Day Flood of 2006, it did not flood. Site survey results can be view at: http://www.pelhamsd.org/newphs/land/5a Structure elevations.pdf
